A mining company I used to work for installed them on all company vehicles to try to prevent mashed Bambi's. Didn't seem to work and they were damned irritating to some of us who could hear the things. Didn't scare them off the road, they still just stood there and got turned into Bambi burger.
Just watch for eyes on the road at night and slow down. Trust me, you don't want to hit one on a Savage. It's not fun.
